What is SpaySecure?
SpaySecure is a contract management and enforcement platform for spay/neuter agreements. When breeders sell pets as companions, they typically require the buyer to spay or neuter by a certain date. We handle the entire process: contract signing, deadline tracking, reminders, proof collection, and enforcement if needed.
Why does this exist?
Most breeders include spay/neuter clauses in their contracts, but historically there was no practical way to follow up. Buyers forget, ignore deadlines, or simply never complete the procedure. Without enforcement, these contracts are just paper.
That matters because unsterilized pets sold as companions can end up being bred irresponsibly, contributing to pet overpopulation and undermining the breeder's program. SpaySecure gives breeders a way to actually hold buyers accountable to the agreement they signed.
How it works for you
Your breeder sets a sterilization deadline in your contract. We'll send you reminders as it approaches, help you find a vet if you need one, and provide a simple way to upload your proof once the procedure is done. Your breeder reviews the submission and you're all set. If you need more time, you can request an extension.
